We’re having a party to celebrate the opening of our new exhibitions — Lee Miller & Surrealism in Britain and Viviane Sassen: Hot Mirror — and we’d love for you to join us.
Lee Miller & Surrealism in Britain is the first exhibition to explore Miller’s involvement with surrealist circles in Britain in the 1930s. Telling the story of this influential network of artists, it will present Miller’s photographs alongside the works of artists she knew, photographed and exhibited with, including Eileen Agar, Salvador Dalí, Max Ernst, René Magritte and Henry Moore.
Viviane Sassen: Hot Mirror presents over sixty images from her notable photography series of the last ten years, as well as new photographs, collages and an immersive installation. One of the most innovative photographers working today, Sassen cites surrealism as a vital early influence in her work.
