Performance Research Happy Hour is a seminar series brought to you by the Performance, Philosophy and the Body Research Group from Leeds Beckett University. The research group was established with an aim to explore the relationship between philosophical theories and a wide range of body-based performance practices, forms and strategies, celebrating a strong emphasis on practice-led research as a means of testing out philosophies in and through the body.
The seminar series Performance Research ‘Happy Hour’ brings together a range of speakers whose research and/or artistic practices sit in conversation with the way body-based practices both problematise and generate philosophical thought. We hope the seminar series will spark conversation around performance as a philosophical practice and how performance practice may illuminate existing philosophical thought. Join us for a drink at Live Art Bistro, see you there for ‘Happy Hour’.
