Between 8th -27th May the Yorkshire Silent Film Festival returns for its 3rd year! And on Sunday 20th May we have another jam-packed day of silent films at the Hyde Park Picture House, all with exciting live musical accompaniments.
We're just putting the finishing touches to the line-up, but we can announce the day will include:
-Laurel and Hardy Play-Along: a fun, practical workshop for everyone who wants to join in with making a score for some great Laurel and Hardy comedy.
— Ménilmontant (1926): a haunting, heartbreaking forty minute drama by one of early cinema's most unusual talents, Dmitri Kirsanoff.
— The Unknown (1927): Tod Browning's twisted, deranged melodrama starring Lon Chaney and Joan Crawford.
— Hamlet (1921): starring Danish screen diva Asta Nielsen.
