We are offering some funded places on a three day first aid course being run by Medi-K. The course includes not only the HSE ‘First Aid at Work’ syllabus but also an additional Rider Specific module. You will learn vital life saving skills and receive a recognised ‘First Aid at Work’ certificate, valid for three years. 2018 dates are 24-26 March (Abbey Park) and 19-21 May (venue tbc, likely a bit further north).
The course is being generously supported by HPower, so is free to attend if you are an EGB volunteer. If you take a funded place on the course we will ask that you agree to act as an EGB first aider, or assistant first aider, at two EGB events in 2018 — these can be rides, training events, etc. The aim is to increase the number of first aiders on the endurance circuit over and above the bare minimum required.
The cost for those who are not eligible for a funded place is £140.
If you would like to take up a place on one of the courses, please let Kerry know ASAP by emailing her: [email protected]
Reasonably priced local accommodation can be arranged, but you will have to fund this yourself.
