This workshop is perfect for anyone who loves up-cycling. We'll be turning newspapers into woven baskets that can be changed into different sizes, shapes and depths. They make surprisingly strong baskets that can hold quite a lot and can later be painted, varnished or simply left with a rustic, up-cycled charm.
You'll also get a chance to learn how to turn recycled paper into bold and unique beads.
The workshop costs £14 or £11 low/no income/student, buy through the link below:
The workshop will take place at Crafty Praxis, a wonderful creative shop in Byram Arcade, Huddersfield.
Crafty Praxis is a wheelchair accessible venue with accessible toilets. The entrance is round the back of the arcade off Station Street, next to the entrance of the former Blue Rooms and above Camel Club.
There's lots of free street parking nearby however I would recommend arriving a bit earlier as sometimes the parking immediately nearby is scarce. The train and bus station are also very nearby.
The workshop needs minimum numbers to run. In the unlikely event it doesn't meet this the workshop will be cancelled. Your booking is secured by payment and if you choose to cancel you get a refund up to 2 days before the event however after that no refund can be given.
