The Wardrobe Funk & Soul Club — Every Saturday upstairs in the Wardrobe!
Every week from 9pm to late, we have the finest singers, musicians and bands from the local scene and beyond alongside the city’s top funk and soul DJs, and all for free entry.
Here's April's program of bands and DJs.
Sat April 7th: Dana Ali Band + DJ Jason Brown (Shake Yo' Hips!)
Dynamite US funk/soul singer Dana Ali returns with her superbad band featuring bassist Dave Hewitt of Babe Ruth fame (whose track «The Mexican» is a hip-hop/bboy anthem)
Sat April 14th: Octofunk + DJ Lubi (Soul Rebels/RE:SOUL)
Sheffield organist/keyboard player/vocalist Ryan Taylor’s funky four piece mixing up classic and modern soul with a touch of jazz-funk.
Sat 21st April: RECORD STORE DAY PARTY with Miasma + Jumbo Records DJs Marko Afro & Matt Bradshaw

Sat 28th April: Funk Lockers + DJ Paul Dunphy (“The Gentleman DJ”)
The big crew are back – Funk Lockers – with 9 musicians onstage (2 brass, 2 singers, congas, drums, bass, guitar, keys) rocking the music of James Brown, Tower Of Power, The Metres and other classic funk/soul bands.
