7pm for 7.30 start
Shipley's sharpest spoken word night returns with a vengeance. For our first helping of Rhubarb in 2018, we are delighted to welcome «mistress of the macabre» LMA Bauman-Milner as our guest reader. We will also have our usual poetry and prose open mic. New voices are always welcome, and what better way to make sure you keep your new years' resolution of writing more! Get in touch at [email protected]
to sign up.
LMA Bauman-Milner is a writer by night and a librarian by light, who has developed an unholy fascination with sparkly shoes since turning 47. She writes dark and disturbing prose — or she hunts down demons and carves stories into their flesh. On bad days, the demons reciprocate. Her first collection, Dark Doors, is published by Indigo Dreams, and she is also co-editor of the Indigo Dreams anthology Inspiration: a Space for Words. Her work has placed in several competitions, most recently taking 2nd place in the Northern Short Story Festival's Short Story Slam 2017. She will be running her first workshop next month at Leeds Trinity University's Writers Festival.
