All sessions are FREE and drop-in anytime from 11am–3pm. The Tetley's Family Art Workshops are creative activity sessions led by artists. Inspired by our programme and our building, activities have included everything from making simple prints, to designing robots, book-making and creating recycled crafts. These drop-in activities are open to all but are especially suitable for families with children aged 5 – 11.
What we have lined up:
Saturday 10 February – Using the theme of 'libraries' from our current exhibitions, create your own prints using linocutting for you to take home!
Saturday 24 February – Join us for a fun filled afternoon exploring our exhibitions by collaboratively designing our very own library using pens, pencils and collage.
Saturday 10 March – Work with one of our artists to help create a live sound installation. Record sounds around the gallery and help add these to a building soundscape!
Saturday 24 March – Responding to the text, shapes and sounds of the current exhibitions, we will use paper, fabric and more to create sculptural pieces. Becoming our very own live works of art!
Saturday 7 April – Taking inspiration from the current exhibition, explore paper folding techniques to create your own abstract ‘book’!
