Led by drummer Jordan Dinsdale, with guitarist Joel Stedman and Elliot Roffe on bass. The trio will be playing standards from the American Songbook, influenced by the Ahmad jamal trio, lots of ballads… That's the kind of vibe!
A young drummer from the UK, Jordan has played with notable musicians such as Chris Cheek and Judy Niemack.
Jordan's professional music career started age 17, playing around England in various groups. He began studying at Leeds college of Music on a scholarship (2010-2017) with Dave Walsh, Sebastiaan De Krom and Mark Sanders, graduating with a first class honours and being awarded the CBE Peter Roberts Memorial prize for achieving the highest marked recital performance.
In August of 2015-2017, Jordan was given bursaries to attend the Begues jazz camp in Barcelona, taking classes with notable icons such as Peter Bernstein, Albert Tootie Heath and Jimmy Wormworth; this is how Jordan met founder of the camp, Jorge Rossy.
In January 2017, Jordan returned to New York to both have lessons and study with some of the masters including Jimmy Cobb, Johnathan Blake, Ari Hoenig and Eric Mcpherson. In August 2017, Jordan was awarded a scholarship to attend the Global Music Foundation in London studying and playing with world class musicians Bruce Barth and Perico Sambeat. He was then nominated to take part in the 'Rising Stars' concert alongside some of the UK's most talented musicians. Jordan also played at London Jazz festival with the Gero Schipmann sextet later in the year.
Jordan is currently based in Leeds, playing around the UK and Europe.
«I believe Jordan Dinsdale shows exceptional promise as a musician and a drummer, making a valuable contribution to the rhythm section...his time is good and his enthusiasm really helps lift the band up. Equally at home in different styles, whether it be a traditional setting, or a more experimental, abstract and improvisational approach — above all, Jordan has a good intuition about what the music calls for and always supports the group he's playing with, giving the music a solid and musical foundation.» — Chris Cheek, NY
«Jordan Dinsdale, an up-and-coming young drummer from England, knows the tradition; he swings at every tempo, listens and interacts. And that’s jazz!» — Judy Niemack, Berlin/NY
«Worked with Jordan on more than a few occasions...not only a fantastic player with a great 'pocket', but a joy to play with!» — Shaun Ward, Simply Red UK
«One of the most exciting, mature young drum talents that I've heard and have the pleasure to work with. He knows how to light a fire under the music and how to cook with the gas down low» — Ed Jones
