Projekt Nemesis are back at Wharf Chambers with a brand new event to celebrate 3 years of DIY party antics! Following the huge success of our Beat:Cancer July gig we're now taking steps to… well… step up the game (hence why this night is pretty far away). We'll be making every event a band night with afterparty from now on, so that means that Leeds will now have its own semi-regular industrial gig venue! Big up the live music scene! Come and make this one one to remember :D
We already have 2 bands confirmed and we'll be announcing who's playing with our upcoming flyers, which we'll first dish out at Infest and then we'll update the event after the festival!
The Nemesis staple afterparty features sets from four DJ's: DJ Zombie Chris of Peterborough's Club Recall, DJ Durcacell Bunny from Sentinel in Manchester and residents Rave-N & DJ VoidOrbit!
Wharf requires you to be a member to attend, but you can register in the link below. It takes 30 seconds and then you can collect your card for £1 OTD. Easy as!
Meet the DJ's:
DJ Zombie Chris:
Your tame zombie DJ from Club Recall returns, expect the unexpected when he shambles behind the decks and keep some brains spare in case he gets out of control (Projekt Nemesis isn't responsible for any zombie bites that occur at the event).
DJ Duracell Bunny:
DJ Duracell Bunny is not only a regular at Beat:Cancer events, but the sharp-eyed festival goers would've heard/seen her absolutely own the middle dancefloor on the Saturday at Infest last year, as well as the after party in Sheffield for Combichrist/Filter and having already guested at many of the UK’s best alternative club nights such as Revolution, Analogue Trash, Intrusion and Club Recall.
A barely contained source of energy bouncing around behind the decks her beat-perfect mix of EBM and synthpop is guaranteed to keep you dancing well into the early hours!
Nemesis co-creator and Club AntiChrist's new apprentice accompanies the crew. Locals will know him from his residency at FUEL's heavy metal room at Leeds Beckett, but behind the metal exterior lies an industrial/aggro-tech power core. He blasts out a constant package of heavy hitters and gears his sets towards the truly loud and stompy!
After serving with the Inquisition within the Imperium, where he was sent to many planets to root out heretics and condemn them to death by fire or other methods, DJ VoidOrbit decided that he was becoming bored with the day to day of the job. The only option was to retire and become a DJ. To escape the Inquisition, he used time travel to arrive in our time, where he started up Projekt Nemesis with Rave-N to help bring you some of the best music around from the future and present.
