Foraging course & gourmet 100% gluten free foraged feast! Delicious food, drinks & great company make my Forage & Feast events something to remember! We begin the day with me teaching you about all the weird and wonderful wild things you can eat & end with a delectable foraged feast at the Wildcraft Bakery. We normally cover around 30 species of edible or medicinal plants and fungi and at some walks, This figure is closercloser to 60! This walk will be focusing mainly on fungi.
The wild food walk is followed by an all-you-can-eat Wild Food Banquet of foraged wild goodies. Sample Menu: Home made Gluten free bread with wild garlic pesto and home churned, cultured wild garlic butter, Make-your-own sourdough blinis with wild garlic or field blewit cheese & wild flowers, herbs & leaves, Salad with wild flowers, leaves, alfalfa sprouts and wild vinegars (Japanese rose hip, burnet rose hip or blackberry), Wild greens stir fried with tempeh marinated in wild garlic, ginger & fermented mushroom sauce and shirataki noodles, Almond & Cherry blossom cake, Fermented blackberry leaf tea, hot chocolate, coffee and Yorkshire tea, Magnolia cordial, meadowsweet cordial and Pear & Ginger cordial with hot or cold water.
There is also always enough food for second (or even third!) helpings. This is all accompanied by all you can drink foraged cordial, tea, coffee & hot chocolate. All the food is Gluten Free & Vegetarian friendly, and I can cater for any and all dietary requirements. At one walk I had a lovely lady who couldn’t eat mushrooms, wheat, vinegar, yeast or any sweetener other than xylitol, and she still had a smashing meal and was able to join in with the rest of the group. So do ask!
The day's tuition and feast costs just £45 per person and £15 for children under 14. Under 5's come free.
